Unsubscribe from Twitter Weekly Digest

Posted on May 16, 2012 by Renji | Short URL: http://sumtips.com/?p=6545

Yesterday, Twitter announced a new weekly digest feature that will send you a weekly email digest with the most popular tweets and stories shared by people you are connected to on the service. Along with it, popular tweets would also feature the most engaging Tweets seen by the people you follow, even if you don’t actually follow those who wrote them. As for the top stories, they are pulled up from the newly-refreshed Discover tab, which now recommends stories.

Twitter said it’ll be rolling out the feature over the next couple of weeks, but if you’d rather not wait and get stale tweets in your inbox, here’s how you can unsubscribe from the feature right now:

  • Sign in to your Twitter account and head over to Settings
  • Click on Notifications in the left pane
  • At the bottom, under Updates section, uncheck the “Weekly digest of Stories & Tweets from my network” box

Unsubscribe Twitter Weekly Digest

  • Save your changes

That’s it! No more spammy emails from Twitter in your inbox.
