Sony Memory Stick Data Rescue Service enables you to recover deleted photographs and data files from Memory Cards. It can recover all types of file formats including JPEG, BMP, PNG, MOV, WAV, etc. and supports all major memory cards like Compact Flash Card CF, Multimedia Card MMC, PC Card, xD Picture Card, Memory stick Pro Duo, Secure Digital Card, miniSD, microSD, SDHC and SDHC plus, etc.

The File Rescue software is free and can be downloaded from the Sony customer support website. Before downloading this software, it is required to fill in the Memory Stick model name and serial number.

If you don’t know the model name of the memory card then you can use the help provided on the form itself.  As for the serial number you can enter any 5 digit such as 12345.

Once the Memory Stick is plugged in, the software guides the user through seven straightforward steps, during which the files are verified, recovered and re-saved.

The success of the file recovery is dependent on the state of the data and whether or not it has been overwritten.

Memory Card File Rescue Service works on all Windows versions and supports all size memory cards for recovery.
