WP Htaccess Editor is a handy little plugin that allows you to edit the .htaccess file right inside the WordPress dashboard, without having the need of a FTP client.
Simply install the plugin and hit the new link in the sidebar to view and edit your .htaccess file. If it doesn’t exist, the plugin lets you create one.
The plugin can also be used to back up and download the current .htaccess file before making any changes. In case any error occurs, it can again be used to restore the file as well.
