Google has today announced the new version of its OS – Android 2.3 Gingerbread and the first smartphone based on it is made by none other than Samsung – Nexus S.
Apart from being the world’s first Gingerbread handset, it’s also the first to feature a Contour Display with curved glass screen and Anti-fingerprint coating. The screen is a 4 inch Super AMOLED one with 480 x 800 pixels.

Availability and Price:
In the US, Google Nexus S will be available starting December 16. The unlocked one will cost $529 and it will be available on contract with T-Mobile for $199.
In the UK, Google Nexus S will be launched on December 20 via Carphone Warehouse for £549 sim-free and Best Buy.
