AniExplorer, Activate Explorer Animations in Windows 7 and 8

AniExplorer is a brand new tool for Windows 7 and 8 Operating Systems that lets you enable hidden user interface animations in the Explorer. The animation is visible when you open or navigate through folders (see attached video) using the default file explorer.

Using the Tool:

Download (link at the end of post), and extract the zip contents to a folder on your computer. You will get two executable files: ‘animations_x86.exe’ and ‘animations_x64.exe’. If you are on a 32-bit system, run ‘animations_x86.exe’, or else run ‘animations_x64.exe’ for 64-bit system. You should now see a window as seen in the above image.

AniExplorer enables four types of explorer animations: Vertical Rectangle, Horizontal Rectangle, Position and Alpha (Use slider to adjust transparency). Simply choose an animation you want of the four and hit “Apply”. Explorer will then restart to activate selected effect. If you find the animation to be slow or too fast, you can adjust its speed using the Speed adjuster slider. To apply new animation speed you will need to hit “Apply” again.

To restore to default Window Explorer settings, just run the tool again and click on the “Restore Defaults” button. Once again, Explorer will restart to enable changes.

You can see the tool in action in this video by the developer:

AniExplorer has been tested and found working on 64-bit version of Windows 7 and 8 Consumer Preview by me. According to the developer, it should work perfectly on 32-bit version as well.
