Schedule Google Analytics to Email Website Performance Report

Here I will show how you can generate scheduled Google Analytics email reports for your website. This option was available in the old Analtyics interface, but since Google is migrating Analtics to a newer version, this feature has changed a bit now. Also, the old feature is going to be shut off later this year so it’s best to set up on the new system.

Set Up Google Analytics Email Reports

Sign in to your Analytics account and select the website you want report of.

When you select a report from the right sidebar, you can see there is an ‘Email’ option underneath the name of the report – below are examples for ‘Visitors Overview’ and ‘Traffic Sources Overview’.

The options seen in the above image are available for all reports, so before scheduling an email make sure to select the report which you want as an email.

Once you’re on the report you wish to receive by email, click the email button to open this pop-up:

Using the various options available in this form you can tailor the report to your preferences.

After filling up the form, hit Send to schedule the email. That’s it! You have now set up a scheduled email report.

The last option in the form – Add to an exisiting email – allows you to combine multiple reports in a single email. Click on this option when you are scheduling a second report and follow the instructions.

Edit or Delete Scheduled Reports

If you need to make any changes to scheduled reports, you can do so by clicking the Admin button on the top navigation bar.

Inside the admin settings, click on the link for ‘Scheduled Emails’ under Profiles tab. Here you will be able to view and make necessary changes to the scheduled reports.

That’s all! You will now get your website’s performance report in your inbox as per your schedule.

If you are having any trouble setting this up let me know in the comments.
