Google had moved the Chrome options from a window to an in-tab menu in version 10 Dev channel. This in-tab option menu has now made it to the beta channel as well with the recent update.
I personally found this new in-tab menu far easier to use, but if you didn’t like the update then here’s a quick way to get back the old options menu.
Open your Google Chrome desktop shortcut’s properties window and add “--disable-tabbed-options” switch after the path to “chrome.exe” in the Target field.
Save the changes.
That’s it! Restart Chrome and now you will see the classic options menu.
To switch back to the new menu later, simply delete the additions to the path and again restart Chrome.
