Export Facebook Birthdays and Events to Google Calendar or Reader

fdCal (formerly known as fbCal) is an online service that allow users to turn their Facebook birthday notifications and events into a calendar they can subscribe to, and access from calendar applications like Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Apple iCal, Mozilla Sunbird or in a feed reader such as Google Reader.

After allowing fdCal to access your information, you will get a page as below:

Here, you can subscribe to Facebook events or your friends birthday. Now, click on the calendar app you use to subscribe. You can also copy the RSS feed link and paste into your feed reader or just download a iCalendar (.ics) file.

Exported events can be customized to include either events you are attending, maybe attending, or haven’t replied to or any combination of those. The events would also be automatically updated whenever there’s a change in Facebook, so you arrange your plans accordingly.

It may take some time before all events and birthdays are imported, so give it couple of hours to get working.

That’s it, now you will never forget any of your friends’ birthday nor will you miss any Facebook social events again.
