Add a Google+ Quicklist to Ubuntu Unity Launcher

Print View Mobile View

Google+ Quicklist gives you quick access to several Google+ pages (Stream, Circles, Notifications, and others) straight from the Unity Launch bar on Ubuntu.

When clicked, pages are instantly launched in your set default browser.

Download and Install Google+ Quicklist

To install Google+ Quicklist, open a new Terminal window, and enter each of the following commands:

wget http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1909722/SumTips/google%2B.desktop
wget http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1909722/SumTips/google%2B1.png
mv google+.desktop ~/.local/share/applications/
sudo mv google+1.png /usr/share/pixmaps/

Once done, go to ~/.local/share/applications, and drag-and-drop google+.desktop file onto the Unity Launcher.

The launcher doesn’t have any features like notifications or messaging ability because Google has not yet released the API for Google+. But if you are addicted to Google+, you will love it. via
