WordPress.com has rolled out a new feature called “Gravatar Hovercards” today. Gravatar Hovercards will show additional information about a user, such as their name, bio, pictures, and contact info at other services they use on the web like Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn.
When you hover your mouse over a Gravatar profile picture in comments, the Hovercard will appear.
The information shown is taken directly from the person’s Gravatar profile.
Hovercards will appear not only on blogs, but also inside blog dashboard.
At the moment Gravatar Hovercard is enabled only on WordPress.com hosted blogs.
If you want, Hovercards can be disabled on your blog by going to Settings->Discussions->Avatars.
