Panoramio now Accepting Underwater Images for Google Earth

Posted on October 29, 2010 by Renji | Short URL: http://sumtips.com/?p=1646

Panoramio will now accept underwater images to the service and has changed its acceptance criteria accordingly.

In a post Panormio announced, “Panoramio has always been about sharing places of the world with your camera. Today we are very excited to announce we are adding a whole new world to Panoramio: the oceans.”

You can read the entire post here.

So now Panoramio users are free to upload their underwater images to the site, complete with location.

Of course, users were able to upload underwater photos before but it was not accepted for Google Earth. Now that these photos are allowed they’ll eventually make their way into Google Earth “Ocean” where they will be available as user photos, just like regular Panoramio photos are now.
