Yahoo! has released a beta of its latest Yahoo! Mail update. It’s the first significant update to Yahoo Mail in five years.
Yahoo! Mail beta offers a new interface, better integration with Facebook, Twitter, and Yahoo! Updates, a revamped search tool, and an improved functionality for viewing photos and videos from sites such as Flickr, Picasa, and YouTube.
Additionally Yahoo has added a new feature that looks like a simpler version of the Priority Inbox in Gmail. It highlights emails sent from contacts in your address book, helping you catch important messages right away. Chat for texting and instant messages has also been updated.
Yahoo claims this new version to be twice as fast as the old version.
