Posted on October 6, 2009 by Renji | Short URL: http://sumtips.com/?p=464

Uptime is a simple command line tool that lets you view the uptime of your PC since last boot.

Usage:

  • Extract the downloaded zip file and copy the uptime.exe file to C:\ drive.
  • Start Command Prompt by typing ‘cmd‘ in Run (Win+R).
  • Once launched, go to C:\ drive by using ‘cd..’ command, now type uptime and it will show you the details in the following format:
current time uptime [days,] time since last boot

Here, days will only be displayed when the system is online for more than 24 hours.
Note: If you double click the icon of the executable in an explorer window you would see nothing!
