Last week I had written about an online HTML5 MP3 player that plays music from your computer. Well today I discovered an awesome music player app for Google Chrome that does the same with many more features.
Local Player has an intuitive interface and comes with eight color schemes. As you can see in the above image, I chose the black one.
The app has playback support for MP3, OGG, AAC, and M4A music files types. You can control music playback in the app even when you are on another tab with various keyboard shortcuts. Press “Shift + ?” to learn all the shortcuts.
On top of those features, it also supports drag and drop, meaning you can simply drag music files from your computer and drop them onto the application.
If you don’t want to install an additional music player, local player is a great choice.
