Microsoft has released Service Pack 1 Release Candidate version for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 operating systems.
The new features added to the SP1 are the Windows Server 2008 R2-related virtualization technologies, Dynamic Memory and RemoteFX. It also includes all the previous updates delivered over Windows Update.
Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 RC helps keep your PCs and servers on the latest support level, provides ongoing improvements to the Windows Operating System (OS), includes previous updates delivered over Windows Update as well as continuing incremental updates to the Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 platforms based on customer and partner feedback, and is easy for organizations to deploy a single set of updates.
Windows 7 SP1 RC can be downloaded and installed if you have genuine Windows 7.
Note: If you have SP1 beta installed, you need to uninstall it before installing the Release Candidate.
The RC will expire on November 30, 2011 and you will be reminded about it from August 30, 2011.
