After developing the 16.2-megapixel CMOS sensor for mobile phones, Sony Ericsson has come out with the world’s first mobile phone equipped with 16.2 MP camera: Sony Ericsson S006, a device which is aimed at people who think that more is better.

Sony Ericsson S006 has the ability to achieve ISO 12800 and also has a proprietary Exmor R image engine. It’s equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, inbuilt FM, GPS navigation and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor that runs Sony Ericsson’s own mobile OS.

The phone is being released exclusive to KDDI in Japan at the moment.
