Do you want to create a customized Windows 8 setup, and and have it perform an installation without asking you questions? Then have a look at WinReducer8.
WinReducer8 is a software that will allow you to remove unwanted native Windows apps, fonts, services, languages, drivers and themes. You can also apply various tweaks for File Explorer, Internet Explorer, and add custom desktop Wallpaper, Lock Screen image, and background image for the Windows setup background. If you provided your genuine Windows 8 product key, it’s also possible to create an unattended setup.
Using WinReducer8
WinReducer8 is quite simple and straight-forward to use. Simply download the program, fire it up, and select the location of your extracted Windows 8 installation files. This will bring up the screen seen below:
Under Components Reducer tab choose the items which you wish to remove. You can remove unwanted native apps, drivers, fonts, languages, themes, and more. In the second Customization tab, choose the tweaks you want to apply to File Explorer, Internet Explorer and select custom images for Setup background, wallpaper and lock screen. If you’d like an unattended setup process, provide your genuine Windows 8 product key in the Unattended tab. Finally, when you’re happy with all your selections, create the Windows 8 installation ISO file by clicking on Apply in the last tab.
Once you have the ISO file, you can either burn the ISO to a DVD or create a bootable USB flash drive. Do remember to test out the setup on a virtual machine first before trying it out on your PC.
Currently it’s not possible to integrate new Windows updates, custom themes or driver packs. The program is still in alpha stage, so we might get these features in a future version.
You can download WinReducer8 from the link at the end of the post. Inside the downloaded ZIP file you’ll find separate executable files for 32-bit and 64-bit version of Windows 8. Remember to run the appropriate one.
